Tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd.. stock department, report having held a very successful sale on Tuesday on account of Mr. B. Hayner, of Parkvale, Carterton. The cows came forward in tip-top condition, and were submitted to a large attendance of buyers, tho herd making the average of £13. Prices were: August calvevs. £12 10b., £13. £14 55., £15 2s. 6d., to £15 155.; September calvers, £10 2s. 6d.. £11 55., £12 2s. 6d., to £13 12s. 6d.; empty cows, £8 195.; heifer calves, £4 55.; brake. £13 55.; Ford car, £95; Darracq car, £70. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, report on their Masterton sale as under:—A small yarding of sheep and a heavy entry of cattle came forward to the usual attendance of buyers. Quotations:—Fat and forward wethers, 345. 10tl.; Itomney rams, 335.; Lincoln rams, 20s. Cattle: A herd of cowb offered on behalf of Mr. W. Sargisson, Te ltangitumau, met with keen competition, ! and \yere Bold at the following prices:— August calvere, £11. £11 12s. 6d.. £12, to £12 2s. 6d.; September calvers, £9 55.. £9 15s. to £11; late calvers, £6 12s. 6d., £7 2s. 6d., to £9. - Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Levin on Tuesday we had fair yardings of both sheep and cattle, and a good demand existed for all classes. Quotations:—Sheep: Light fat ewes, 275. 9d. to 325.; s.m. ewes, in laab, 225. 6d.; cull ewes, in lamb, Bs. 4d.; four and six-tooth wethers, 335. 9d.; two-tooth wethers, 295. Id. Cattle: Pat cows £9 13s. to £13 35.; fat heifers, £10 155.; vealers, 355. to £2 17s. 6d.; forward cows, £7 55., £7 7s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palnierston North, report having a fair entry of both Bheep and cattle at the Palmerston North yards on Thursday, when nearly every line changed hands at satisfactory prices. Quotations:—Sheep: Fat ewes, 28s. Id.; medium woolly hoggets, 18s. 6d.
