Sir Joseph Ward stated in tho course of the Financial Statemont that tho gross revenue received from Crown and endowment lands during (he year amounted to 411,241,366, made up as fol!ows:=--Orduiary Crown lands, 45485,317; land lor settlements, 41437,980; Cheviot Estate, 4!li,lJJ; national endowment. 41120,319; primary and secondary education endowments 4192,161; other sources, 4:8830; total, 4H.241.3C6. T!ie amounts outstanding at tho Close, of the year were 4125,478 postponements of rental and 4:22,815 ordinary arrears.
