4 Bs Tclcsraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, July 24. A meeting of clergy held at Stratford to-day considered the question of forming a new diocese iu Tar&uaki. Avchueacon Evans presided. _ .Resolutions were passed: (a) To take immediate steps to raise sufficient money to justify the formation of the proposed diocese; (b) that a representative council be convened consisting of bishops, clergy, and laymen in the proposed area. The first meeting will he held at Hawera, the arrangements for which were delegated to a committee set up for the purpose. The Hev. E. L. Harvie (liiglewood) was appointed secretary. The Ven.' Archdeacon Evans was asked io accept nomination as honorary organising iinancial secretary of the lindowment. Fund.
