Prime Minister, ii letter drawing attention to tho necessity for preventing waste of timber in New Zealand. Tho letter referred particularly to that class of timber known as "shorts," which was useful for tho manufacture of fruit eases, broom-handles, etc. Tho meeting decided that the Jotter should go forward.
