For a considerable time ho wm associated with the Days, and he n arriod a daughter of John Day. Ho rode the winners of olassic races both in England ajid Prance. Whon be retired from tho saddle he took on training, making Danbury his headquarters. Throughout his lengthy conneotion with the turf the deceased bore .an . irreproachable character. His sons, Mornington and Tom, were in recent years successful riders, until mcreasinE wctehf. kept them out of tho Eaddle.l' "
