BIG MOVEMENT IN TARANAKI. By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, July 13. The Second Division movement hag spread rapidly all over Turanaki, practically tho whole of the .Reservists being organised with branches in each centre. Delegates io the number of twenty or thirty will attend tho convention of Reservists at Wellington next week, this being the largest delegation that has ever left Taianaki. PAY AND ALLOWANCES. Christchurch, July j.t. A meeting of the Second Division' League for Canterbury last night resolved—"That the principle of pay and allowances should be so altered that tho pay shall only be what is actually paid to tho soldier; that all other payments snail be classed under the heading: Allowances to dependants." Also, that pensions should be as follow:—At death, wfrfov and dependants each £H 3s. weekly, each child 10s. Gd., each motherless child 17s. (id. In case of disablement: All soldiers JS3 3s. If an attendant is needed, tho soldier to receive 15s. a week extra. A wife and sole depondant each JCI, to bo increased to £3 3s. on Ine death of tho soldier. Each child 10sCd. Each soldier to receive a pension of £1 on reaching sixty years of age.
