A fine response has been made by the school children in the Wellington educational district to the anneal of Mr. K. R "■'.tin- Umt they should raise a fund for the relief of the little sufferers by the recent air raids in England. Yesterday morning the board sent a cable message as follows:—"Children of Wellington Education District, New Zealand, send in sympathy and friendship first instalment of 4!o00 to child sufferers by recent aeroplane raids. Mode of distribution suggested through Lord Mayor, but left to wise, discretion of High Commissioner."
