DILUTION OF LABOUR
JUSTIFIED BY OUTPUT'OF MUNITIONS. London, July n. The Parliamentary Secretary of the Department of Munitions, in a speech, 6aid that in spite of the enormous expenditure of shells, the production was more than keeping pace. This was an eloquent justification of the dilution of labour. The Government's proposals were to allow the dilution of labour on private work in order to bring a proportion of the skilled men now engaged in private work on to war work in the shipyards, agricultural implement works, and aeroplane works. The interests of Labour would be fully safeguarded in the sheme.—Reuter.
