ORGAN RECITAL

The -weather was unpropitious for tho organ recital given at the Town Hall by tho City Organist (Mr. Bernard F. Page) on Saturday evening. Tho programme was one which appealed to all lovers of the best in music. Guilmant, iho famous Parisian organist and composer, was represented by his very showy and at the 6ame time musically impressive sonata in'>C Minor (No. 5), whoso fine moments traverse a wide field of emotional expression. There was, too, a very beautiful Soriabine "Prelude" (No. 3); and Cesar Francfs "Preludo, Fugus and Variation" (Opus. IS), Boellman's "Suite Gotliiqne," and the KarpHert arrangement of a Handelian air (with variations), were'also included in tho programme. '
