GERMANY'S LATEST U-BOAT SCHEME LONG-DISTANCE RAIDERS London, July 3. The "Horning Post's" correspondent .at Copenhagen says it is reported that Germany is building siibmurine cruisers of 5000 tons and 18,000 horse-powor, .with a length of 130 metres, and a. speed of 26 miles on the surface and 1C submerged. They will bo capable of voyaging from the Baltic to Japan without taking in fresh fuel. They will have 30 torpedo tubes and practically the same armament as a medium-sized cruiser, aid will bo able 'to carry 150 floating ininee. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
