By Telegraph-Press Association. ; _, thristchurch, J\ily 3. There is nothiug fresh to report with regard to grain, as there is little offering. The potato market is-in an unsatisfactory state. On tho basis of the prices at which potatoes are being offered f.o.b. Tiraaru, local merchants are unable to obtain fresh business that woyld warrant them paying more than <Ei at country stations. A few have been bought at this figure; others at .£3 ss. to £3 10s. There aro few offering, and some growers are refusing oven a higher price now they have tl;eir crop in the pits. There is a keen demand for seed potatoes, indicating that a large area is intended tq be planted next season.
