0 — : MANAGEMENT OOMJaTTEE'MKETIJIG. The weekly meeting of tho Management Committee o£ tho Wellington Football Association was held last evening, Mr. A. E. YFelle presiding. A letter was received suggesting that permission be given a team to go to Ohristohuroh during the sohool holidays in September. The correspondent asked that the Wellington Committee arrange the match with Clirlstchurch. Tho team to go south would be a sixth, grade-representative one. Tho matter was held over meanwhile. Tho transfer of G. Tilloy from the Institute Club to the T.M.O.A. Club was agreed to provided tho necessary fco is paid In. Mr. F. Ross, sports direotor of the Boys' Institute, wrote regarding tho blowing ol two whißtles when a player could score a goal direct from a frco kiok, and a single whistlo when a player could not score a goal from a free kick. Ho pointed out that ho had already seen arguments take place this season regarding the kicking of a goal from a free kick, solely because tho players did not know tho rnle. The matter was left in the hands of tho secretary to write to the various' referees to have this rule carried out. It was decided to write to the Reserves Oomitteo of the City Council regarding tho refusal of the caretakers to allow matches on certain wet Saturdays, espeoially on Wakefield Park (Duppa Street) and at Nowtown Park. It was contended that the caretakers were too strict regarding the playing oa tho grounds. FIXTURES FDiTSATUBDAY. Third Grade. St. David's v. Johnsonrillc, Anderson Park, 3 p.m.; Mr. V. Astill.
