SOME HANDSOME DONATIONS. Mr. W. Gray Young, of Wellington, ha 9 been selected by the Board of. Governors of the Scots College to prepare jjlans for tho new college building, which is to be erected near the golf links at Miramar. Tho intention i< to erect k college for 225 pupils, with boarding accommodation for about, 10(1 boys. Provision will nlso be made for an extension of the building, if at a later dato it is deemed advisable to extend it. A total expenditure of .£15,000 is contemplated at present, and an effort is being menu to j-aiso at least half that amount by donations. One big-hearted churchman in Wellington, who gave ,£IOOO to the college funds a year ago, has donated another like amount; Mr. James M'Kcrtow has given .CuflO; Mr. W. M. ITannay, .•SWfl; Mr. William -Allan, JiMO; , Messrs. .1. Smith. Ltd., ,CSO; and an anonymous donor, .CSO.
