DRASTIC LIQUOR CLAUSE Washington, June 24. The House of Representatives has passed the I'ood Control Bill, including a drastic amendment which prohibits the manufacture of intoxicants for the duration of the war, and authorises the president to commandeer existing stocks of spirits. The voting was 366 for and 5 against.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
