The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Hiipitangi, on Monday, we iiad a good yarding of both sheep and cattle, the latter inoluding* two lines of dairy cows, which, sold well. Sheep and cattle sold at late rates. Wo quoteFat ewes, 28s. Id., 28s. 7d.; weaner steers, £2 10s.; yearling steers, £4 155.; 18-montli Heifers, £4 10s.; store cows, £3 155., £4 17s. od., £5 17s. 6d„ £6, £6 7s. 6d.; forward cows, £7 10s., £8, £9 lis,; springing heifore (good), £10 65.: dairy cows, £8 to £12 15s. to £14 ss. Mr. Houlihan's herd of 23 dairy cows averaged £12 lis. 6d., the best cows making £13, £13 10s., £14 155., £15 10s., £16 ss.

Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their monthly stock sale, held at. their Waikanae yards on Wednesday last, that they offered a 'full yarding of both sheep and cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was good, end they have to report a satisfactory sale. The -whole of their entries (with the exception of two pens) changed hands at the following prices:Fat and forward mixed ewes and wether 3, 34°. 6d.;' mixed age ewes in lamb, 295. j fat ewes, 345.; 2-tooth. wethers, 285., 30s. 4d. to 30s. Bd.; woolly lambs, 19s. 6d. to 21s. Id.; shorn lamta, t9s. Bd. to 21s; aged ewes, 155.; light fat cows, £9 Zs. 6d. to £9 165.; heifers, ditto, £9; 20-nionths steers, £8 4s. to £8 163.; good leaner steers. £5 Bs.; heifers in calf. £6 to £7 10s.; springing cows. £9 l&s. to £12 12s. 6a. A line of 10 springing heifers sold at £10 17s. 6d. They also sold stock, donated by Mr. W H. Field, M.1 , ., - Waikanae; Mr. John Smith. PackakariM; Mr. W. J. Howell, -tfr.,Len. Howell, W. J. Companj report having held their monthly sale at Waikanae on Thursday, when the? offered a good yarding of sheep and cattl« There wa-s a- representative attendance of buyers, bidding was brisk, and the whole entry was sold at satisfactory prices.
