SOUTHERN MARKETS
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, June 22. No wheat and only odd lines of oats are coming on the market. There is good inquiry for oats, but supplies aio very scarce. There is good demand for oatslieaf chaff for shipment to Wellington and West Coast, no freight being available to Auckland, where there is a market for chaff. Prime samples are worth £i at country- station?. The potato market is still quiet, as growers are preferring to pit their crop rather than accept XI 10s. or £3 15s. at country stations. Buyers are indifferent about, operating, as it is difficult to obtain fresh orders, though there is rather more inquiry. Seed potatoes are in good demand.
