RAID ON A GAMING-HOUSE
SEVERAL CHINESE PINED.

Last night the police raided, a Chinese, house in Wakefield Street alleged to bo, used as a, common, ganiing-hquep, and ar-' rested tho proprietor and ninotcen other Chinese. Tho Chineso wore- completely Burprised, and submitted to arrest quietly. As a sequel to tho raid, Young Heo was charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with boing tho keeper of a common " gaming-house. Decision was reserved. Fourteen other Chinese were fined -C 2 each on charges of being found in a. common gaming-house. The charges against five others were withdrawn.
