At yesterday's sitting of tlie First Wellington Military Service Board appeals for about fifty seamen, and firemen were adjourned tilL Wednesday. In an appeal lor John. Joyce, seaman, decision \ras reserved sine di'e and exemption from service in tho meantime was granted. An employer's appeal was lodged for Thomas Comad Schneider, ivho was said to be an essential worker in the operation, of shipping wool and receiving cargo at Akitio, beach. The roadstead was worked with the aid of 6nrf boats and a bullock dray. ,Schneider drove the bullocks, assisted in the unloading or. loading, and was the harbour storeman. Tho board reserved its decision sine die, and granted exemption for the reservist meantinio.
