MOTOKISTS IN COTJET. A fine of 40s. and costs 9e. was inflicted on George Gower, who waa convicted OH ridiuß a motor-cycle with, side-car attached without a hendliubt in a manner daueerouß to tho public. Allen Catley, for failing to stop his motor-lorry when recmeEted to do bo, was convicted and disoharftcd. A fine of 10s. and costs Vs. waa tho penalty imposed ÜBou H. V. Evans for having insufficient, light on his motor-car. On similar charges Elizabeth Green and John Marshall were each Sued 10s. with 7s. costs. Victor Smith wan also fined 10s., with 7b. costs, for having insufficient lights on his motor-car. A fine of ss. and cost 7s. wae imposed on Harry Spencer for not having; a light on his bicycle. OTUEE CASES. Sydney Nettlefold, a reservist, for failinc to give notice to the Government statistician of change of address was convicted and ordered to pay costs. For failing to attond. drill Frank 13arle was fined 55., and costs 7s. John Kilmistor and William Lowery, convicted of obstructing the drill of No. 33 Company Sunior Cadets, were each fined 10s. and costs 75.. in default tireo d.iye' military detention. A fine of 6s. wae imposed on Fred. Ondby for leaving a heap of Band on the main roud.Wadestown, .and failing to fix a light to tamo. TKOUBIiE OYEK TJUM TICKETS. Harry Lanccy and his wife Catherine Lancey bo'arded a Karori-oound tram-car at the corner of Cuba Street and Manners Street, and the' former naid the. faro for the two. Later on, when tho conductor asked them to show their tickets they wero unable to produce them, and in accordance with the Tramway Regulations the conductor demanded farea from eaoh, which were paid. The missing tickets wero found later, nnd Lancey demanded a refund of the amount paid on the second fares. This the conduotor refueed, with the result that the lanceys behaved violently. Yesterday they were charged with behaving in a violent and disorderly manner in a tram-car, and with usinPt nbusive language to the conductor. Both were convicted, and Harry Lancey was fined 10s., and costs 18s., and Catherine Lancejr was ordered to pay coata 7s. Jlr. T. W. Hislop appeared for the Karori Borough Council, and Jlr. H. F. O'Lcary for both defendants.
