Having doflo good service jn trainincamps and in the trenches, 50,050 pairs of old Army boofe wero eold by auction recently at tho Commercial Salo Rooms in London. Tho boots woro sold as pairs, but if this was not the caso jio objection cou.ld bo raised. Thero were 85,000 "C" pairs, considered wiitablo for civilian wear, and 25,000 "D" pairs, of which tho uppeis only aro good. During tho past few months about half a million old Army boots navo been sold by auction, tho average prico for o. "C" pair being Is. 7<l. to Is. 9d. and for a "D" pair lid. to 7d.
