Dance in\tho Soldiers' Club in Sydney Street. , 'Die danco given in the Soldiers' Club in Sydney Street on Saturday evening for tbe twenty-sixth Reinforcements was very largely attended, and tho Indies in charge spent a busy tirao supervising the arrangements and seeing that all was dono to secure tho enjoyment of evoryi one present. 'Madamo Foley supplied excellent nrasic for dancing, and the decided "nip" in tlio air inada dancing a keener pleasure than usual. Supper for the dancers was served in the gymnasium by the House .Committee, and Mm. Coleridge and Mrs. C. Eavlo .were, as usual, in charge of tho danco arrangements. During tho evening Captain Bell, oil behalf of tho soldiers, thanked tho Indies for their hospitality, and said how greatly it was appreciated by them all. Tho members of tho committee who were present were the acting-prcsidont (Sirs. Coleridge), Sties Coates, Mxb. Moorhouse, Mrs. Salmond, and Mrs. L. Blundell, who was hostess in o.hargo of the tea-room. Tho singing of "God Savo the King" and hearty cheers for tho 'committeo and their helpers closed tho ovoning.

Friday nigh t's danco at tbe Anzac Club, I'eatherston, was, as usual, well attended by soldiers and their friends. Mcsdamcs Q. Donald, Arch. Clark, aud Miss Card woro tho Ladies' Committeo in charge of tho arrangements. The music was provided by the Camp Military Band, under the c.onduotovship of Bandmaster "YVatson, extras being supplied by Mesdamos Ilotop. Wickons, Parnoll, Miss Bish, and Mr. AV. J. Martin. Mr. F. Brabant acted as M.C.

Mrs. Magill, of Keatoun, assisted by Misses Burnett and Bannister, will'be in charge of the Red Cross Shop, Woodward Street, on Wednesday, when a good supply of cakes, sweets, flowers, etc., will bo obtainable.

Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Rutherford (Canterbury) are visiting Auckland.
