MAGISTRATE'S COURT

A short sittings of the Magistrate's Court was held on Saturday, Mr. W. G. Siddell, S.M., being on the Bench. For insobriety, Fred Smith was fined 10s., in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, and Thomas Francis Bonrko .waa fined 205., or to serve three days in gaol. Seven, first offenders .were convicted and discharged. Marion Coomber, who was chargcd with loitering in Lambton Quay for immoral purposes, was convicted and orderod to como up for sentence when called upon. A charge n'gviin*t Benjamin Rogers of using obscene language in Adelaide Eoad was dismissed.
