Tfte- New Zealand Loan and. Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Upper Hutt sale on Thursday, they submitted a largo yarding of both sheep and oattle. The sale was dragging, rut they cleared everything at satisfactory prices. The following prices -were realised:—Twotooth wethers (small), 265. 6d.; two and four-tooth wethers (email). 28s. lCd.; twotootli ewes (small), 245. 3d. to 2bs. sd. to 26. Id.; two and four-tooth, wethers, 30s. 10d.; forward wethers, 355. Ad.; mix«inged ewes, 245. 9d.; cull ewes, 18s.; flit ewes, £2; lainbß, 155.; empty store cows, £6 155.; eowe ■with calves, £6 55.; eighteen-month heifers, r.w.b., £6 18s.; springing heifers, £12; .bulls, £6 10s. to £7 55.; weaner calves, £3; rams, 19s. Competition was good, and we have to report a satisfactory clearance. Quotations:— JTedium fat owes, 325. Id.; fat -wethers, 355.; two-tooth to f.f.m. ewes in lamb to Eomnoy ram, 335. 3d.; aged ewes in lamb, 19s. 6d.; mixed two-tooths, b.f., 275. 2d.; Jambs, 15s. to 19s. 9d.; two and a half to three-year steers, £12 75.; eighteen-month, steers, £9; light fat cows, £8 15s. to £10; light fat heifers, £8 10s. to £9 195.; f.c. cowe, £7 to £8 55.; store cows, £5 7s. to £6 155.; yearling lieifers, £5 65.; mixed weanors, £3 to £4 6.9. 6(1.; small do., 265.; springing cows, £9 15s. to £10; springing lieifers, £8 10s. to £10 10s.; sound cows iu milk, £8 10s. to £12,105.; heitere in milk. £8 ss. to £10 10s.; three-quartered cows. £9. j Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Lim'ted, Masterton, report having held their weekly sale at Colombo lioad yards on Wednesday, when Micro was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. There was fair c. mpetition, a total clearance being :na<le under the hammer at the following prices:— Two-tooth purebred Lincoln ewes running with stud Lincoln rams, oQ'ered on account of Mr. W. Perry, Penrose, made 4gns., 41gns., 42gns., sgns., sJgns., to 6gn<j. A line of two-tooth Eomncy eweß been running with stud Xjincoln rams, offered on behalf of same client, realised £2 Is. Other quotations:—Medium b.f. lambs, 15s. 8d..; cull b.f. lambs, 7s. 9d. to Us. Bd. jfcssrp. Balgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at the Upper, Hutt on Thursday, when they offered a.'good yarding of sheep and cattle. There was a keen demand for all classes of stock, and a clearance was effected at prices as under:—A pen of prime wethers, sold on account of Dr. Knight, realised 415.: forward lambs, to 255. 2d.; two and four-tooth ewe*, in lamb, 25?.; mixed-age ewes in lamb, 225.: lightweight fat cows. £9 to £10 17s. 6d.: forward cows, to £8 10s.; store cows, £4 35., £5 155., £6, £6 65., £6 ISs., to £7; bulls, £6 to £7 15s.
