Rotaruke, as a homestead site. S. Carter, on account of failing health, asked to be allowed to surrender his Section 5, Fairfield Settlement, and it was resolved to accept his surrender. Major Clifton wrote, stating that owing to a change in his circumstances ho did not-seo his way to complete his application for Section It, Tirauinea Settlement, and it was resolved ■to cancel his application. Lieutenant E. W. Kebbell, having applied for a temporary lieonse to grazo Section 21, Tiraumea Settlement, in the event of his being unable to secure it on a permanent tenure, it was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy it temporarily at a rent of .£ls per month.
