Thomas Clark, labourer, Petone, sent a' marriage certificate to prove that lie was a Second Division Reservist. His appeal was allowed. Richard Duignan, property manager and agent, appealed on various grounds, but his appeal was dismissed, and he was given leave till July 25. ; Walter Elvidge. billiard marker, failed to appear, and his appeal was dismissed. • .. , George Ferguson, tailor, a native ot Queensland, who had been working in Wellington since 1914, claimed that lie was not liable for service, but his appeal was dismissed. _ ~ James Forbes, accountant, Lower Hutt, who had appealod on the ground ot un(lno hardship, withdrew his appeal. Dismissal met the appeal ot Walter Georgo Freeman, a labourer, who .said that ho was in,the Second Division. Thomas Gray, a miner, who had been working on the wharves some time, was sent ud for medical examination: John" Frederick Hargrave, clerk, proved that he was undei; age, and his appeal was allowed. Harold Hook, grocer, did not appear, and his request for time to dispose of a business was not granted. Geo. Ernest Fitchett, tailor's pressor, appealed on the ground of undue hardship, and asked for two months' leave of absence. Hβ' was given till June 27. The Court adjourned till 10 a.m. today. .
