Croesus spurted a couple of furlongs on the Band. Ml Gallo and Porphyry, together, went 1 a good seven furlongs on tho sand in J mm. 37 ■Wsec. Fisher went a mile and a half on tho grass, Hylaus assisting over tho last round, which took 2min. 8 Msec. Gladful went a mile on tho grass in train. 57 3-5500., and Bedford and Cnrlysian. ran four furlongs on tho grass in 65sec i Cafdiona was too good for Achitlous over tho same distance in 56 S-fisoc. •St.. Elmn, going better than Waimai. did a round on tho sand in 2min. 4 .1-5 set. Glonroy covered four fnrlongs on tho grass in 57sec. Housewife, going easier than Bisogne, went six furlongs on tho sand in luiin. 19 3-ssec. Sir Solo and Iceberg were schooled over six hurdles, Hima accompanying them over the first two. Diavolo jumped tho big fences in tho centre in good,stylo i Morccambe, Record, Grey Lynn, Styrax, and Dood were companions ovor the hill. The two former got round safoly, Grey Lynn stopped at tho water, and Styrax and Dood fell at tho lop of tho hill. Gluopot and Ranza Mist gave >a good display of jumping round the big country. Braoburn. and Czaromis wero sont a round of tho big fences. Tho latter stopped at tho second fence on tho bill, and dislodged' his rider at the second attempt. Braeburn fenced well. C.
