Tho "Mountain Girl" (Constance Talmagc). worshipped him from afar. Cyrus, tho Conqueror of tho World, attacks Babylon, and whilst tho "Beloved Princess" prays for Belshazzar in tho temples, tho'Mountain Girl" fights for him on tho wails. Bclshazzar combats to tho gates of his palace, and dies, stricken with wounds, in tho arms of "Tho Beloved Princess." The modern portion of Iho story lakes place in New York, and is a thrilling Wo of the struggles ot "Tho Dear Ono" (Lilian Gish) and tho "Boy" (Robert Harron), both poetic victims of a conscienceless plutocracy.
