DEATH OF BERT PARKER
SUCCUMBS AFTER AN 'OPERATION.
The death occurred at midnight last night of the man Bert Parker, who was admitted to the Hospital on Wednesday night.
The Hospital authorities stated early this morning that Barker's condition was serious at the time of bis admittance to the Hospital, and he did not regain consciousness. : Yesterday his condition showed no signs of improvement, and later in tho day ho grew worse, and at 7.30 o'clock an operation was performed to relieve pressure on the brain. From this he never rallied. There were no external injuries, and the primary cause of death was internal haemorrhage! A. post-mortem examination will bo held.
There are not many particulars available, but it is stated that Parker was a married man, and lived at 115 Dixon Street. '
A man named "William Reynolds appeared in the. Magistrate's Court yesterday on a charge of having assaulted Barker, and was remanded for a week.
