MR. BALFOUR IN CANADA
VALUE OF BRITISH EMPIRE IMMEASURABLE Montreal, May 30. Mr. Balfour was accorded a tremendous, welcome at the Canadian Club here this afternoon. In his speech ho said the value of the great British Empire, separated yet united, could not be measured in figures or estimated by statistics. Nothing was more inspiring than that the people living id the overseas Dominions enjoyed the fame citizenship of Empire as (lie man in Middlesex. The war was in its last phase. There was no need of discouragement at the difficulties. He was sure the enemy would suffer more than we during tho coming months'—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
