ENEMY ALIEN ARRESTED
By Telegraph— Pres= Association. Christch'urch, Mny 31. Charles William Reno Nicliolls Broglie, a. rather well-known man about town, was arrested last night as an enemy alien. Broglie left to-night in charge of two detectives for Wellington, where he will bo handed over to the military authorities, and, it is assumed, will be interned. Ho is a young man between twenty-five and thirty. Additional interest is imparted to his caso owing to the fact that lie is married to •ii member of a well-known- Wairarapa family. His wife was with him, and she is understood lo have gone to- AVellington to-night.
ilr. A. W. Martin, Rupture Specialist', and sole controller of Dr. J. A. Sherman's method of treatment, will be at the Hotel 'Cecil, Wellington, from the sth of .Tunc to the 16th, after which date he will leave for Auckland.—Ad-vt.
