ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
Nat. llurphy, a resident of Molesworthy Street, was yesterday evening admitted to the Hospital with the toes of his right foot crushed. It appears that a flywheel fell on his foot while he was working at Lambton Station.' Mr. P. Smith, of Masterton, met with a painful accident. He was kicked by a horse, and had his arm badly shattered. A-ERDICT IN ETKCTROCCTIOX CASE. By Telegraph—Press Association Rotorua, May 25. At the adjourned inquest ou James Casey, electrocuted on May ]1. while working on an electric light line, the coroner. Mr. Dyer, returned a verdict that a 'contributing cause of the accident was the omission on the part of William Herbert llaydeu, a fellow-workman of I he deceased! to obtain an authority from the assistant engineer for himself and Casey to work on the electric wires, and in consequence the current was turned on. in ignorance that they were working on the line. The coroner added that he did not attribute to Hayden. who was himself injured, any intention of committing a criminal or culpable act by neglecting to obtain the authority. DEATH FROM. BURNS.
