THE PATRIOTIC SOCIETY

A meeting of the executive of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Patriotic Society was held last night. Mr. (J. H. Osmond was voted to tho chair. Mr. A. Leach reported regarding tho military church parade- to be hold next Sunday afternoon, June 3, in the Town Fall. Ho bad communicated with 3-S clergymen, asking for tho assistance of church choirs, and he had been promised up till tho present about 75 voices. Four bands—the Patriotic Society's own band, the Mission Silver Band, the Tramways Bund, and the Waterside Workers' Band —had agreed to be present, but he expected (o have others as well. It would lie arranged that tho bands inarch from different points in tho city, converging nt the Town Hall about a quarter to I ihreo. Mr. Lowis reported that the Terri- [ torials and tho Cadets had been given I permission to attend tho sorvicc, and nl- [ together llie indications -were that the 1 service would be n. very Tvig one, and J quite worthy of the occasion.
