Dalgety and Company. Limited, report having a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle at the i'almereton North yards on Thursday. The following are tho prices :—Sheep—Fat ewes, 335. to 38s. 9d.; fat lambs, 203. 6d. to 245. 6d.; store lambs, £15 as. to £17 35.; old rams, 7s. 6d. to 16s. . Hcssrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. report:—At Shannon on Friday good yardings of both sheen and catilo came forward. There was a good demand for sheep, but cattle were neglected. Quotations :—2-tooth wethers, 275. 3d.; 4-tooth wethers, 335. 9d. to 365. 4d.; 2-tooth to f.f.m. ewes in lamb, 345. Bd.; mixed aged ewes in lamb, 225.; woolly lambs, 14s. 7d. to 17a. 7d.; small shorn lambs, lis. 6d.; cull 2-tooth wethers, 20s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Levin on Tuesday we had a good yarding of sheep aud a small entry of cattle. There was good competition for sheep, but. cattle were hard to quit, quotations:—Fat ewes, 325. to 33b.; mixed sex 2-tooth, 275. 6d.; woolly lambs, 18s. to 225. 3d.; shorn lambs, 14s. to 16s. 6t1.; 2tooth ewes in lamb (small), 295. 9d.; 2tooth to f.f.m. ewes in iamb, 315.; 4-year ewes in lamb, 325. Bd.; mixed-aged ewes in lamb, 20s. to 255.; cull owes. 12s. 6d.; cull rams, 205.: fat heifers, £8 17s. 6d. to £12; li&ht fat cows, £9 2s. 6d.; voalers, £2 165.; small wcuncre, 255. Pigs—Weanors, 125.; small stores, 14s. 6d. to 195.; porkers, 30s. 6d., 335., 385., to £2 6s. At Waikanae on Thursday a, small yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattle were offered. We had practically a total clearance. Quotations :-Light fat ewes, 275. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report on their sale held on Friday as follows:—A very good entry of stock, was submitted to a good attendance of local buyers. The market for sheep showed an improvement on last week, but cattlo were neglected./Sheep-2 and 4-tooth wethers, 345. Id.; forward ewes, 255.; 5-ycar ewes in lamb, 15s. 6d., 20s„ to 225.; cull lambs, Bs. 6d. Cattle-Springing heifers, £7 10s. to £8; store cows, £sslßs. to £6 175.; m.B. weaners (bust fed), £4 155.; aged hacks, £3 to £3 12s. 6d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report:—At Palnierston North on Thursday we had a. good yarding of sheep and a fair muster of cattle. Prices offering for sheep were slightly easier, hut the bulk of the yarding was disposed of before leaving tho yards. Cattle, on the wholo, wero rather dull. Fat owes (ordinary) brought 28s. to 295.; aged fat and forward ewes, 265. to 27b.; 4-year-old ewes in lamb, 28j.; full-mouth empty forward owes, 235. Id.; aged ewes in lamb, 14s. 6d.; aged ompty ewes, IJs. to 13s. 6d.; cull ewes, 7s. to 9s. 6d.; forward lambs, 18s. Bd.; Btore lambs, 14s. to 155.; small ditto, 155.; calved dairy heifers, £8 to £9 55.; good forward cows, £9 Bs. to £11 55.; etdro cows (good), £6 to £7; tinners, £1 7s. to £1 155.; yearling hotfers. £2 Bs. to (good) £3 55.; mixed weancrs (poor), £1 3s. At Feilding on Friday we had a good yarding of sheep and a. small entry of «attle. The bulk of the ftep wo yarded changed hands, although prices were lowoj' than those ruling, a short time, since. Oattlo sold fairly well, beet cows especially being io good demand.
