The appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Permanent Staff and Territorial Force have been approved:— New Zealand Permanent Staff. 2nd Lieut. J. W. Crnmpton, N.Z.E.F., is 6truck off the strength and absorbed into the N.Z.P.S., with his original rank and seniority, viz., Stall' S.M. (W. 0.), as from Slay 1, 1912, to dale from April 30, 1917, and is granted the temp, rank of lieutenant w ; kilst temp, attached to the Adjutant-General's Department at Headquarters (dated April 3, 11)17). 2nd Lieut. C. C. Massey, N.Z.E.F., is struck off the strength and absorbed with his original rank, viz., S.M. (W. 0.), as from August 21, 1911, to date from April 30, 1917, aud is granted the temp, rank of lieutenant whflst temp, employed at Base Records (dated April 1, 1917). Queen Alexandra's 2nd (WellingtonWest Coast Mounted Rides). Capt. W.- T. Joll, N.Z.E.F., is struck oil the strength and absorbed into the establishment with his original rank and seniority therein, viz., Major, as from November 14. 1916 (to date from May 31, 1917). 4th (Waik.\to) Mounted Rifles. Colonel G. A. Ward relinquishes the temporary appointment of General Staff Officer,' Auckland Military District (dated April 30, 1917). ' Lieut. G. ,M.
