MILITARY SERVICE BOARD
FURTHER APPEALS.
The Third Wellington Military Service Board sat yesterday, and 'heard a small number of appeals The board consists of Messrs. W. H. S. 1 oorhouse (chairman), A. O'L. Considme, and Al. J. Robert .S. Taylor, wireless operator, was granted temporary exemption. Consideration of appeals for the following marine engineers was postponed till Wsday:-Colin S. Macfarlane, David M'Craig, Charles Ferguson, Charles deL. C. Cleary. John James Kettle, George W. Danes, Andrew L. Smith, William C. Ferguson John V, Wnh- William Falconer, I'. A. \\ llson, WillianiC Norris, J. W. G. Elley, and Francis H M-Mirf-i-. An employers- appeal for James .1 dlacklock (manager for Hirst and Co.; was dismissed. Hirst and Co. also appealed on behalf of John M. Kanldii (currier) and Joseph J Hodges (tanner). The council wished to get information regarding the tannery trade, and adjourned the cases ior a Tho" Blackball Coal Co. appealed for John Joseph Flaherty 'and William W. M'Gregor, marine engineers. Decision was reserved till Tuesday.
