EMPIRE DAY

SERVICE IN THE TOWN HALL. The Wellington Patriotic Society ia arranging to mark Empire Day (June 3) by holding n big united service in the I own Hall during the afternoon. To that end preparations are already in hand which point to an impressive servico thoroughly in keeping with the day and the times we live in. Tlie musical director of the society (Mr. Peek) is inviting all the Wellington bands to participate, the idea being for them to march from different parts of the city to the Town Hall, and there to play in ensemble tho hymns selected for the occasion, which will include, "0, God Our Help in Ages Past," "Onward, Christian Soldiers." "Through the Night of Doubt and Sorrow," and "Abide With Me." These hymns will be led by the massed choirs of the city churches. All tho clergy of the city are being invited to attend the service.
