'Olio speaker'said ho had been informed [that Anstrians would not accept con--1 tracts -unless they wore able to cam £1 ; a day. '■ It was resolved: "That ._ all cuemy aliens should bo conscripted forthwith 1 for labour purposes." . A roniit that tho Government bo urged to Tostrict tho importation of luxuri*. 'especially from foreign countries, was lost. -, ■ ■ -The question of excess' wnr_ profit<: taxation was discussed, a committee being set up to, draft a resolution. The conference passed a resolution ] urging- the necessity for steps to meet 1 the shortago of shipping regarding moat and dairy produce. I
