The "Daily Chronicle's" correspondent at Italian Headquarters writes: "Sunday's battle on the Upper Isonzo for tho range of heights that held the mastery of tho left bank continues to develop with mechanical precision after Monte Cuco.7, the hump saddle of Vodico, had been taken. The Austrians in the afternoon wado a desperate attempt to retake the lost ground at Vodice. Wave after wave rolled forward upon the hastily-improvised Italian trenches, built on the old Austrian line. But every wave was broken, and when the attacks were over groups of Austrian dead wero lying everywhere in 'No Man's Land, Fighting continued all night long, and at uawa Vodice was captured."—Aus.N.Z.
