.AUCKLAND CAMPAIGN FOR FUNDS. The campaign which -was concluded in Auckland brought about a refult is eminently satisfactory io tlioee iiitcested in Hie work of tho Y.M.C.A. amongst tho soldiers, as it realised tho sum of .£43,500,. and some cheques are still continuing to come in. On Monday evening a tneSftng of the Citizens* Committee was hold in Auckland, when (Sir. IT. TV. Kersley. chairman of the National Esecntive. Mr. C. M. Luke, and. C. R. Smith. mcmWs of the same committee, and Mr. 13. C. Brownoll, national secretary, wero present. Tho reports submitted l>y Atessrs. Charles Rhodes, chairman, and George Wilson, treasurer, showed that the. organisation of the canvass had been roost thorough, and the dc-fMls reflected a very great deal of credit on them and tho committee associated with them. The opportunity was taken at, the same meeting fo bid farewell to Mr. Montague Lascelles. wh{f ii going out to the front as an honorary commissioner, Io Mr. George Hughes, who coos forward as supervising secretary to France, and also" Mr. Lascelles. inn., who will act in the capacity of Y.H.C.A. field secretarv.
