SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CEREAL PROSPECTS
Adelaide, May IC. The Government Statist's preliminary estimate of the cereal harvest gives the wheat yield as 43,830,972 bushels, ■which is 9,696,468 bushels above the irecord of 1915-16.- The average crop is 15.85 bushels per acre. , Oats.are estimated at 1,825,503 bushels, /which is 308,871 bushels below the yield of tho previous year.—Press Assn.
