FKETAHUNA CATTLE FAIR.
The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, resort [ on their Eketahuna cattle fair as under The entry -was in excess of advertised numbers, 1000 being offered to a very faj attendance. Taken as a whole the quality was far above the average, and speaking generally, creditable to the district. . Several lines of well-grown, goodconditioned bullocks were offered, but thev I were difficult to quit, owing to buyers for this class of cattle being limited in num- - bers. On the other hand, young cattlo sold extremely well, and some good sales were recorded. Business at auction except in few instances, could not be described as animated,, and . several pena were passed, but good business was done later by private treaty, and on the whole a. Batisfactor* sale has to be reported. Mr W. M'Gruddy topped We market with 13 good-conditioned, large-framed bullocks at £17. Other sales worthy of mention vrero on behalf of Mr. F. 0.
