Parcels for dispatch by steamers ana trains, with tho exception of the usual ferry steamerß for southern offices, cloeo at tho Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before tho advertised times of closing of mails. The parcel post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south per ferry steamer at 6.45 p.m. Late letters for mails beyond the Dominion cannot in future be posted on tho steamer, but must bo posted in the lateletter posting-box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on the mail notice. Tho advertised times for closing mails by steamers ore liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. All the principal malls by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Oourtenay Place Post Offices at tho same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the Jerry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 n.m.
