DOUBLE INCOME-TAX

London, May 4

In'the House of Commons, Mr. fiona'r Law said he always considered that the double income tax in its existing form was unfair, but this was not a- time when revenue could be surrendered. He and the Dominions', representatives had discussed the.matter, and although they were strongly opposed to the system/both in regard to amount affected and the principle, they fully realised the war position, and did not suggest that the question should be discussed till after the war. He gave his assurance that it would be one of the first questions to be considered after the war. —Renter.
