At Burnside to-day 182 fat cattle were penned. The quality on the whole was good. Prices declined about 10s. Extra prime bullocks, £21 155.; prime, £16 10s., £19; medium £14 10s., £16; light unfinished; £12, £14; extra prime cows and hoifers, £14,. £16 10s.; medium, £11, £12 10s.; light inferior, £8, £10 10s. Sheep.—lß6s were penned, including some very prime. Competition.was keen arid prices much on a par with last week's rates. Medium woights were, if anything, slightly firmer, hut unfinished. ewes were hard to sell, except at slightly reduced rates. Extra prime wethers, 555. 6d.; prime, 405., 475. 6d.; medium, 355., 38s. 9d.; light, 255., 30s. 6d.; extra prime ewes, 505.; prime, 355., 405.; medium, 2Ss., 31s. 6d.; light and unfinished, 175., 255. Lambs. —1053 were penned and the quality was rather better than of late. Competition iwas not brisk, but late values were realised. Extra prime, 30s. 6d.; prime, 255., 285.; medium, 215., 235. 6d.; light unfinished 165., 20s. Pigs.—There was a medium yarding of fats and a small entry of stores. There was splendid demand for fats at increased prices. Stores also sold well.
