COLLEGE GOVERNORS
The Hon. J. G. W. Aitken (chairman), Messrs. A. Warburton, William Allan, J. P. Luke, W. F. Ward, W. H. P. Barber, and Professor Easterfield were present at tho monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Wellington College and Girls' High School held yesterday. The finance statement showed a balance in the bank and credits amounting to £5239 19s. Bd. Tho payments required were: Wellington College, £635 Bs. lOd.; Girls' College. £568 14s. Id.; which left a balance of £4033 16s. 9d. The outstanding fees wore: Wellington College, £75 Is.; Girls' College, £409 16s. Bd.; rents outstanding, £637 25., whioh brought tho balance "Tip to £5157 16s. sd. ' : -A slight alteration was made to tho terms on which tbe,Turnbull Scholarship may bo hold. This scholarship, for four-year students at the Wellington College, entitles tho holder to take an- academic course at the Viotoria Colloge (the whole time to be devoted to academic study), whilst holding no position to which an emolument is attached. This latter condition was varied by the board adding tho qualification —"except with the consont of the Board of Governors, to io obtained in writing."
