THE LABOUR TICKET AND THE COAL STRIKE. -. :
Sir, —As ono who takes a lively interest 'in the municipal affairs of the city, at all times, and 'particularly during the few days before an election of members to the chief local bodies, in whose affairs we are all more or less concerned, there is one question that many, besides myself, would like answered before wo go to the poll on Wednesday. That question is: Aro the members of the "Labour ticket" who have, been nominated for seats on the City Council, Harbour Board, and Hospital and Charitable , Aid Board sympathetic with the coal strikers on the West Coast? The question is a fair'one, inasmuch as wo aro all affected in one. way or another by the strike, and we should know the views on this matter of those who are seeking our suffrages. So through the medium of your valuable paper, I ask the "Labour ticket" are they sympathetic with, and do they support the West Coast coal etc.-
