This fund was .'-first proposed ~ as- a memorial to thosenurses who lost their lives in the Marquette disaster. It is now to be a memorial to all nurses who lose their lives whilst on active service. After due consideration, it has been decided that the best form of niemorial is. one that will be of permanent benefit to tlie nursing profession. It is proposed to invest the money subscribed in a war loan arid to use tlio interest to assist any registered nurse who may bo in needv circumstances. A ton-guinea, subscription entitles the donor to life membership of the fund, ivith the right of nominating applicants for relief.
