UPPER HUTT ANGLICAN CHURCH
The annual tnt of parishione.rs of the Upper Hi. * ' i-ochial !?istricb 'was held on Thursday evening. The vioa* (the Rev. A. D. Stratford) occupied the chair, and presided over a Eood attendance. Hβ nominated Mr. F, W. Oonnell as his warden, after expressing his thanks for his past services. The meeting elected Mr. J. Kemp as people's warden, and the following vestrymen: Messrs. J. Whiteman, H. M. Williams, H. W. Chapman. H. J. Parker, O. H. Williams (Kaltoke), and Norman Russell rWhiteman'a Valley). The report and ■balance-sheet were presented/ by Mr. Oonnell, showing the parish to be solvent. The vicar read a report on the past year's work. Hβ made Bpecial referenoe to the sale of work in aid of a churohroom, for which £75 had been raised, and also to the presentation of several useful gifts to the. churches (particularly fit: John's,' Trentham), during the past yoar. A short report was read on the wort of the Sunday schools. Votes of thanks were heartily accorded to all the ohuroh workers.
