SWIMMING
THE THORNDON CLUB.
A competition for junior swimmers, extending over the past three weeks, has been carried out by the Thorndon Amateur Swimming Club. . Much enthusiasm was displayed by the hoys, and the various events wcro keenly contested. Following aro the results of tho events: — • - .. 50yds. Handicap (for boys under 15. years).-N. Firth, 1; R. George third, with 7 points. At tho conclusion of the final event on Wednesday evening Mr. T. Ronayno, 1.5.0., tho president of the club, presented trophies to the winners, and congratulated the hoys upon tho good form they had shown and tho keenness they had displayed.
