Since then ' various suggestions ■ of how to commemorate tho" deeds of Old Boys in the War were discussed, and, your - committee camo' to tho. conclusion that the best form for a memorial would bo a groat Assembly Hall at the college, wherein the boys would meet, every day and have before them tho records- of iho sacrifice and heroism 'of their predecessors. With this end in view subscriptions were incited, tho intention beiig to lav the' foundation: stoiio sonni -time during tho vear 1917 to' celebrate tho school jubilee vear, - and -eventually to complete the-hall as a lasting memorial to the gallant deeds.of Old Boys. The sum asked for is £5000. Tlie" committee regrets that .the appeal has so far not been responded 'to a,s they hoped; a further appeal will therefore bo made.
